About the artist - The Studio
Christina Chatzideve is a Greek artist working across a number of media, including painting, drawing, collages and monotypes.
She graduated from Utrecht School of the Arts The Netherlands, in Visual Arts and Design.
Christina creates work with a skilled and fluid approach to aesthetics, focusing on the human psyche as her central subject of inspiration.
She currently lives and works in Crete, Greece after spending extensive time abroad, living in Holland and exhibiting her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Greece, Holland, Italy, The United Kingdom, France, Italy and Germany.
"My artistic practice is grounded in a strong sense of color play, line, form and texture. I am inspired by the human nature and the dialectic between his internal and external world. My paintings explore the interplay of the seen and the unseen, the material and the spiritual world around us."
